My name is Charlyndria but people usually call me Char or Charlie. I'm 21 and I live and the DC area and I'm a college student at Marymount University.
I'm majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Communications. I've always loved fashion. movies, art, and music. I've always wanted to be apart of the Entertainment industry in one way or another. I want to be a jack of all trades: I want to be a stylist, potential fashion designer and working on making my own PR firm in the future. I don't know yet how this will happen but I can't wait for my life after school.
I made this blog just to express myself and write down all the random musing within my crazy mind. I'm not really looking for Tumblr fame but that would be nice.
I’m not the right complexion
Nor do I have the correct hair texture, hair length or body type for guys to like me. I ask myself, “What is wrong with me?” “Am I ugly?” “Am I a bitch?” “Am I fat?” I don’t like to use my skin color as an excuse but I feel like that’s the case sometimes. I feel like I am constantly overlooked by guys at my school and around this area. The only guys that I attract are creepers and bums on the street. But when it comes to anyone that I like for myself they always reject me. When they look at me they just quickly dismiss me because they see that I am darker.
The guys that I like or want never like me back. They usually reject me and they would go after the girls that are lighter, thinner, with longer hair or straighter hair.They can never get over the fact that I’m visibly Black. r I feel like I’m just there to men. Just a Black chick and nothing special. I blend in with the wall paper and nothing more.
I’m convinced that Black women are stereotyped the most and we have the worst stereotypes.
What other race is seen as ugly, rude, attitudinal, fat, poor, slutty, in-eloquent, AND stupid? It’s annoying how other people including Black folks think this way. I just love proving people worn because I am none of the above.
The one thing that I hate about Bollywood movies is that they make it seem like all Indian people are light-skinned. When in reality most of them are brown and in a lot of cases the same color as Black people or even darker.
Why Are Some People Getting Mad At “The Help” Movie, But No One Says Anything About All Of The Stupid Movies Like “The Lottery Ticket” Or Just About Anything Tyler Perry Makes?
This is why I can’t respect the Hip-hop industry and 95% of the artists in it!
Why is it that Black people must suffer everywhere in this world?
